Emergency Children’s Health Organization helping sick kids on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — If you’re fond of fine food and rhythmic music, or simply treasure the company of friends and community leaders whose contributions make the world a better place, you’ll want to be part of the Emergency Children’s Health Organization’s (E.C.H.O’s) “Treasure the Moment,” a premier event on tap for Friday evening, Sept. 23, at 7:30 p.m., at the Colonial-inspired Eagle Oaks Country Club in Farmingdale, N.J. — where your presence will benefit a child in need.

E.C.H.O. was formed in April 2008 by Sebastian Angelico and a dynamic group of executive board members who have pledged their support to families of seriously ill children who, due to financial constraints, might possibly be denied proper health care. E.C.H.O.’s mission: To accumulate resources to benefit the welfare of a child.

Honored during the event will be Cesar Claro, executive director of the Richmond County Savings Foundation and president and CEO of the Staten Island Economic Development Corp., and ICAP Securities.

And because E.C.H.O.’s board and committee members really know how to throw a party — and see to it that no stone is left unturned, on offer will be live and silent auctions, which will include artwork from Bill Lopa, a super golf package, Ranger box tickets, Super Bowl tickets, dazzling gift baskets, a treasure box of costume jewelry, Nintendo DS, an Italian basket, a flat-screen TV, wine baskets, games that include chances to win a $1,000 money tree, a Gucci bag, an iMac and gift baskets created by executive board member Joseph DiGiso, 50/50 raffles and raffles for a men’s and a women’s Rolex watch. Kudos to journal chair Eric Eremita and to executive director Pasquale Loporcaro, as well as other E.C.H.O. board members, administrators and staffers who have promised the event will be like no other.

Business attire is suggested. There are also journal ad and sponsorship opportunities available.

For further information, contact Angie Galana or Denise Stallone at 718-967-9086.

E.C.H.O. is a non-profit organization established to assist children and families with financial burdens — and to come to the aid of a child experiencing a challenging medical or living emergency. Proceeds from the event will be dedicated to this goal.
